Badges are earned through the completion of pre-set programs at any pace a pursuant chooses (self-led, small group, large group.) They can represent academic or extracurricular courses, as well as skills not traditionally taught in schools, such as automotive care or use of watercraft.

A Level 1 Badge is a good place to start on a Pathway to a complete Badge Set (Levels 1 through 5.) This may sound strange, but most academic settings in the United States and around the world use similar systems for tracking growth through subjects. All we’ve done is assigned shapes and terms to the numbered tiers, where a typical high school might only refer to a course as being “Spanish I” or “Algebra II.”
