OAKS: The fiction series set in the real-life school, for lovers of YA fantasy

New from COH Founder Virginia Leah Gaffney comes OAKS, a young adult fantasy fiction series beginning this year with a special launch on Kickstarter, hoping to generate $500,000 toward the 2021 goal of the 10 Year Plan. Backers of the Kickstarter will have the opportunity to create an Original Character (“OC”) that will be included somehow in the first story.

This first book follows a descriptionless third-year Vitality narrator who goes by El Paso, and their roommate, Dallas, a first-year sangre nueva who is just finding out about the secret magical world that was under her nose all along. Join Dallas, El Paso, and their no-má friends as they try to solve the mystery of missing Indígena student, Mack Julien. OAKS is a “wizarding” adventure unlike any other, set in the southern United States, where Headmasters Cavan, O’Brien, and Ratana teach their hechicero students to embrace the diversity of magical forces, and become more powerful in their enchanting arts than their European cousins’ wildest dreams.

You can check out the pre-launch page on Kickstarter NOW, and follow @campoakhallows on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Tumblr for updates on when and how YOU can get a SIGNED advance draft copy, or autographed full First Edition of OAKS by the end of the year.

Where does the money go? Toward building a fully accessible central Texas campus by 2024 with state-of-the-art academics, athletics, and arts programs in partnership with businesses who believe in creating meaningful opportunities for youth. The “Big 3” goals of COH Operations are providing FOOD, HOUSING, & HEALTHCARE for low or no cost.
